Federal Funds Grant Writing Assistance Program (FFGWAP)

Grants Training Funding

Join FFGWAP in person on 10/6 and 10/9! The Washington State Department of Commerce is offering a series of complimentary, full-day federal grant workshops at two regional locations. These sessions emphasize core grant writing and grants administration strategies, and best practices for proposal design.

Workshop details

  • Moses Lake — October 6, 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Union Gap — October 9, 10:00 AM–4:30 PM

Complimentary lunch and morning refreshments (coffee and pastries) will be provided. Please note any dietary restrictions during Eventbrite registration. Due to capacity constraints, participation is limited to two attendees per organization.

Who it’s for

The FFGWAP is designed for Washington community-based organizations, local government agencies, ports, housing authorities, tribes, businesses, state agencies, and others eligible to receive federal funds — to prepare and submit grant applications and help Washington meet its clean electricity and greenhouse gas reduction goals using approaches that enhance equity, innovation, economic growth, and job creation. The program is free for participants across Washington, and organizations that support overburdened, rural, and vulnerable communities will be prioritized.

The FFGWAP team will also exhibit at the 2025 IACC Conference (October 7–8 in Wenatchee) for direct discussion about federal grant applications.

Registration is available on Eventbrite for each location’s respective workshop.
